The Verified - “Special (V-mix)” (Prod. by 9th Wonder)

It took some time, but here is what could be the last Verified cut for a while and we decided to rock on the classic Strange Fruit Project cut.  Bare in mind that this is NOT a break-up or disband because we are all family.

With that being said, “The Two-Thirds EP” will be dedicated to Jabez, whom formed Native Tongue with L’amour (formely Kayiel) and brought me in later to form The Verified.  As long as he knows that his boys are making music and supporting him in his tribulations, that’s all that matters.

L’amour & McClaine (The Verified) - “GMHA” (Prod. by 6Fingers)

For the new followers wonder what kind of synergy that only Two-thirds of The Verified have in contrast to all of us, here’s how we get down to make you look forward to the EP.

Originally rocked on by Hopie Spitshard, our approach is clear cut in the scratches.  A girl’s memory or presence is hard to get rid of.  Daresay was originally supposed to be on this one, but went MIA and I got the green light.

The Verified - “Special” (Prod. by 9th Wonder) ROUGH DRAFT/SNEAK PEEK

We decided to flex a bit on the Strange Fruit Project joint.  This is a rough draft as all the components are not in it yet and a sneak peek because Jabez is all that remains on the cut.  This will also be a good indicator as to what kind of synergy will be on the L’amour x McClaine still-untitled EP.

L’amour (The Verified) - “The Corner” (Freeverse)

So it seems that the last third of The Verified will finally drop a mixtape.
“The Chronicles of Casual Reign” coming soon.

Cody McClaine (The Verified) - “Glenwood South” (Prod. by King I Divine)

Re-upping the track about the district in my area that openly exercises discrimination.  As said before, I and many other minorities have experienced and witnessed this first hand.

The reason for the re-up is that I just got word that one of the culprits of this practice, The Downtown Sports Bar, had their charges dismissed by the Wake County District Attorney’s Office.  I’m not sure whether it’s accurate because Jonathan Wall (the victim) and Todd Criscoe, the manhandler who is now 2-0 in this matter, met with lawyers in private around August and something screams more of a “settlement” than a “dismissal.”

Cody McClaine (The Verified) - “Live” (Prod. by Rufio)

To declare my return, I just wanted to go in on Rufio’s “frknjst getdown” after repeated spins of Yae’s “Nuffins Da Same” and Chuuwee’s “U Cartoon Foos.”

When closing out The Verified’s first mixtape, there was no opener.  All I had to do was recall it all from the beginning and give you all the story from my perspective as all of ours differ up to becoming The V.

L’amour (The Verified) - “Uomi” (prod. by Clamscasino)

While we’re working on the project, a verified third decided to drop something with visuals from “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” to tie you over.

Since Saturday, I’ve mixed down one of the tracks for the L’amour x McClaine project and have been listening to it ever since.  To my surprise, it came out pretty well.

On to the next mix.
